Benrus was founded 1921 by Benjamin Lazrus and his 2 brothers. The watches were popularized in 1926 with marketing based on Charles Lindbergh. During WWII Benrus technologically elevated the anti magnetic watch case to advance aviation warfare and perfecting the waterproof proof watch for mariners and divers. So well respected that in 1963 the DNC gifts JFK a custom Benrus watch which he added to his treasured collection.
